Over seven weeks this autumn, we are going to explore the transforming power of Jesus. Specifically we’ll look at God’s plan to transform you in seven key areas of your life: your spiritual health, physical health, mental health, emotional health, relational health, financial health, and vocational health.
Romans 12:2 is a key verse for us during this season:
“Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”Romans 12:2
When you learn to think differently, you begin to live differently. So we’ll be providing you with messages every Sunday and with daily devotional material throughout the campaign.
But transformation doesn’t happen by just acquiring more information. The bible says:
“Don’t just listen to God’s word, you must do what it says” James 1:22
So we’ll be asking you to join a new or existing small group, where you can set personal goals and support each other in your growth.
Here’s what you need to do.
- Visit the Transformed Hub in church and;
- Order your copy of “Transformed”.
[It contains everything you’ll need: daily devotional, small group notes, Sunday message outlines, personal exercises and advice for goal setting- £7 each]. - Sign up for a small group
[You can stay with your existing life group, or you can start a new one. Have you always wanted to be in a men’s group, a ladies group, a mum’s group? Sign up or start a list. You’re group doesn’t need a leader, just a place to meet and a DVD player!]
We are asking every attender at GBC to COMMIT to attending Sundays, small groups and a daily devotional time for SEVEN WEEKS. After that, you are free to stop. But I’m convinced that if you commit during this time, you’ll experience transformation and you won’t want to. What have you got to lose?
